What to expect

Itinerary of 5 days’ trip around Tbilisi.

1. Day one

Stop At: Patardzeuli Winery in Kakheti Region

Patardzeuli enterprise is located in Kakheti, Sagarejo district, which consists of three main buildings, and in each of them, technological processes of wine, brandy, and chacha production are distributed individually. Patardzeuli enterprise is equipped with an alternative energy source - solar panels, which provide electricity in a natural way. Tourist space and wine house located on the territory of the enterprise. The enterprise hosts thousands of tourists every day.

It is the place for master classes such as Bread baking in traditional Tone Owen and Khinkali making.

Stop At: Davit Gareja Monastery, watch Rainbow mountains view.

 Stop At: Local Polishman Expat’s Surrealistic restaurant in the village “Udabno”, taste Svanetian Kubdari [bread with spicy meat], buy a very specific Svan salt if you wish.

1. Day two

Stop At: Mtskheta City.

Mtskheta Municipality is located in Mtskheta-Tianeti region of eastern Georgia. Its administrative center is the city of Mtskheta. During this one-day excursion you will find both diverse, beautiful sights as well as monuments of historical-cultural significance. Here you will find pagan temples, antique palaces and other interesting artifacts (Also beautiful views of Jvari and Svetitskhoveli), Armazi Fortress, impressive, legendary Svetitskhoveli.

Stop At: Shiomghvime Monastery XII c. Complex in 30 min. from city Mtskheta.

Stop At: Guramishvili’s wine cellar

Guramishvili Winery is located in Saguramo, 45 minutes’ drive from Shio-Mgvime Monastery. This place has a special historical significance. This is the cellar where the company produces high-quality still and sparkling wine. The winery belonged to the family of the famous Georgian public figure, Ilia Chavchavadze. As a result of great efforts, together with the ancient wine cellar, the KTW group has restored rare endemic varieties of wine grapes.

Today, the Guramishvili winery regularly produces wine and classical method sparkling wine. The main direction of the winery is the production of wine from rare, endemic grape varieties, mixed with traditional European methods (in oak barrels and the traditional champagne method). The enterprise has the ability to receive and process 110 tons of grapes in one day. In one hour, 700-700 bottles of wine and sparkling wine are produced.

Here you should have an unforgettable lunch break, table for 23 persons [may reserve all meals before your departure] with traditional live music or traditional Georgian ballet dancers show, fresh air and teleportation in Georgia’s 19th century atmosphere.

Day three

Stop At: Jinvali water Reservoir to the Kazbegi / Stephantwminda direction, then visit Ananuri fortress. Ananuri is one of the hundreds of Georgian medieval castles.

Ananuri is found in the same-name village on the Georgian Military Road, 64 km from Tbilisi, and 12 km from Zhinvali. In the XVI - early XIX centuries, Ananuri was the main stronghold on the way from Daryal Valley to Dusheti and from Russia to Georgia. It played a critical role in numerous wars between local feudal princes – eristavis, and in the course of its history was never carried by storm.

Stop At: Gudauri friendship Arch. Lanch  and rest in kazbegi Terravino restaurant.

Stop At: Gergety Triniti Church [For visiting the current destination you have to change your Van into Delica Van_ 2 Delaca”s will wait you in front of Terravino].

Stop At: One Night Stay in the hotel in Kazbegi.

Day Four

Stop At: Dariali Gorge, visit Dariali Monastery at the border with Russia.

Stop At: On the back road from Dariali, may visit Gveleti Waterpool (walking by foot app. 3/5 km.). 

Stop At: Truso Velley [Still again Delica Van Service] and back to have some Lunch in Terravino.

Stop At: One night in Gudauri  “Marco Polo”  Hotel.

Day Five:

Stop At: Mtawminda Park with 360 Degrees view on city Tbilisi.

Stop At: Fine Arts Museum in Tbilisi.

Stop At: Stay in the Hotel One more night in Tbilisi.
